On March 21 Tablet Command released version 3.5 of our Tablet Command and TC Mobile applications for iOS with support for in-app audio.  When enabled and configured for an account, multiple audio streams can be quickly played for additional situational awareness when users are away from the radio.

In response to customer demand, we have created a bundled basic version of Tablet Command Enterprise.  Not surprisingly, we call it Tablet Command Basic!  

While the North American wildland fire season has wound down with the arrival of winter, our attention turns to Australia where fires are devastating the entire country. Let's look back at how North American Tablet Command customers used mapping, location, and incident management tools to enhance operational efficiency and responder safety while gaining an advantage during the 2019 Fire Season.

Anyone with a Smartphone and a subscription to their department’s Tablet Command service can have real time  access to emergency call notifications and CAD notes.

Real time digital mapping improves turnout and response times and can save the lives of citizens as well as the responders who serve them. Wall maps and map books have been the standard in the public safety for decades.

Emergency response personnel increasingly rely on mobile response and incident management solutions such as Tablet Command.

                                      

Recently, I attended an  in-service instructor class taught by a well-respected  subject matter expert. This was a one time only event, so the room was packed. Unfortunately I was seated next to a firefighter with a portable radio.

Inevitably, a run was dispatched, and everyone  was distracted by the radio traffic between responders and the dispatch center.
