On Tuesday, September 10th 2024 Tablet Command will release Tablet Command and TC Mobile 3.8.3 to the App Store. The releases add new search functionality for units on incidents and on the map, updates the ACK functionality, includes a UI update for status buttons, and contains bug fixes and performance enhancements. We strongly recommend that all users update to 3.8.3 because the fixes in the latest ESRI SDK make map loading significantly more reliable and stable.
You can now search for units in the incident list view, as well as for account and shared AVL units in the map view. For Shared AVL search to work, the units must have been synced to Tablet Command by panning/zooming over the map area where the unit(s) being searched is/are. (You cannot find them, if you have not loaded them)
In Tablet Command version 3.7 we introduced the Acknowledge feature for Two-way customers whose interfaces support notes back to CAD to mark comment as one requiring user acknowledgment based on a defined character sequence like "***". Example "***WIRES DOWN***" would trigger an acknowledge button. In 3.8.3 we have refined the functionality to center the ACK Banner on the screen, and to allow users to acknowledge the messages directly from the ACK Banner.
Note: This will be a phased release over two weeks. To get this update right away, update from the App Store or your MDM solution.
